Uganda: AfDB to Evaluate Its Projects

A team of nine members of the board of the African Development Bank (AfDB) Group will this week visit Uganda to consult with the government on the bank's funded programmes in the country.
The six-day visit scheduled for between February 23 and 28 will dwell on AfDB-supported policies and programmes to evaluate their implementation and impact.
Uganda is one of the major beneficiaries of the bank's resources under the African Development Fund, the group's concessional lending arm, through which low-income member countries are able to borrow for development project financing at very low interest rates.
The bank's current country strategy for Uganda focuses on two main areas including infrastructure development and improving capacity skills development for poverty reduction.
