35th NEPAD-IPPF VIRTUAL OVERSIGHT COMMITTEE MEETING, 22 September 2022

The NEPAD-Infrastructure Project Preparation Facility (NEPAD-IPPF), is holding its 35th Oversight Committee meeting on 22 September 2022, through a virtual meeting with the theme: Implementation of the NEPAD-IPPF Strategic Business Plan 2022-2026.

The NEPAD-IPPF is a Multi-Donor Special Fund, hosted by the African Development Bank (AfDB), whose mandate is to spur sustainable infrastructure development on the African continent through preparation of bankable, investment-ready projects, by providing grants and expertise to assist African countries, Regional Economic Communities (RECs) and specialized agencies (SA) to prepare viable and high quality regional infrastructure projects in the sectors of energy, transport, information and communication technology (ICT), and trans-boundary water resources.

The Oversight Committee was set up at the establishment of the Fund in 2002 to provide general policy direction, and to ensure effective governance for the activities of the Fund.

The objective of this 35th Oversight Committee meeting is to discuss operational issues, on the mid-year progress on the 2022 work programme of the Fund and the Technical Assistance Fund activities.

The meeting will specially focus on the progress on the development of the NEPAD-IPPF Strategic Business Plan 2022-2026, and provide a forum for follow-up on the recommendations and management improvement action planfrom the 34th OC meeting held on 3-4 March 2022.

It will Finally be an opportunity to update on the implementation of the NEPAD-IPPF Donor Outreach and Resource Mobilization Plan 2022 – 2026 and present a NEPAD-IPPF Knowledge Product : The Infrastructure Financing Trends (IFT) Report (2019-2020).
