Tunisia inaugurates two cyber-parks

13 January 2010

Tunisia pursues a dynamic policy with regard to information technologies, and is encouraging the creation of cyber-parks across the whole country.

Two days of investment promotions in TIC are being held this week in Kebili and Tataouine, on the occasion of the inauguration of two cyber-parks, the construction of which required a total investment of 2.1 million Dollars.

The country will soon have about ten similar sites, with a feasibility study due to be completed shortly for the province of Sousse and three new sites at the planning stage in Jendouba, Gafsa, and Medenine.

These techno-sites are areas equipped with telecommunications networks and services placed at the disposal of young entrepreneurs.

They allow for the spread of the new technologies and favour the creation of companies, in particular with regard to Internet services, in order to stimulate economic activity.<br/>
