ICA discusses regional renewable energy opportunities and knowledge products in Denmark

3 September 2018

The ICA visited Denmark at the end of August 2018 for discussions with the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Investment Fund for Developing Countries (IFU) and Denmark’s Export Credit Agency (EKF).

The meetings discussed renewable energy in Africa, how to attract more private sector investment into the sector, the promotion of regional projects, knowledge products on infrastructure financing in Africa and the promotion of sustainable infrastructure. There was also strong interest in the Atlas of Africa Energy Resources, which provides insights into renewable energy challenges and opportunities in Africa.

Working with NEPAD-IPPF, the ICA will focus on collaboration over knowledge products with EKF, which has a strong research and knowledge base relating to Africa’s investment environment.
