4 August 2011 The Gas and Electricity Regulatory Commission (Creg) has just published a press release which reveals that 22,000 megawatts of electricity will be generated by Algeria by 2030 from renewable energies. About 12,000 megawatts will be destined for the national market and 10,000 megawatts could be exported. The national electricity generating program comprises the completion of 67 projects, 27 of these being photovoltaic power stations, 27 hybrid diesel and gas turbine hybrids, six solar thermal power stations and seven wind farms.
