Botswana and South Africa sign Memorandum of Cooperation

SELEBI-PHIKWE: The Minister of Transport and Communications, Nonofo Molefhi and his South African counterpart, Minister of Transport, Ben Martins, have signed a Memorandum of Cooperation.

The memorandum, which was signed on Monday in Selebi-Phikwe is an agreement between the two countries to build bridges in Platjan and Ramotswa.

Speaking at the ceremony, Martins said Batswana and South Africans have relations on either side and it is only a border that divides them. He said that as ministers, it is their duty to facilitate the obligations that they have under the Southern African Development Corporation (SADC).
