ICA feature in Pan African Parliament Publication

7 September 2016

The Infrastructure Consortium for Africa contributed to the latest edition of One Africa, One Voice, the official publication of the Pan African Parliament (PAP), by featuring an article about renewable energy.

The feature focuses on the role that renewable energy is set to play in achieving universal access to power in Africa and its contribution towards accelerating economic growth. It outlines how the ICA will be vocal in advocating for increased investment in renewable energy development, in support of the African Renewable Energy Initiative (AREI) which, launched by African heads of state in December 2015, commits to a target of 300GW of renewable energy generation capacity by 2030.

Part of the African Union, the Pan African Parliament was established in order to ensure the full participation of Africa’s people in the development and economic integration of the continent.
