Summit on financing African economies: "Financing is not the problem, it's the lack of bankable projects"

The African Development Bank was present at the summit on the financing of African economies in Paris on May 18. For the President of the African Development Bank, Mr. Akinwumi Adesina, "this is an extremely important meeting".

The objective for the private sector, according to him, is to develop viable projects. "Financing is not the problem, but rather the lack of bankable projects. So we have facilitated the development of some of these projects. For this we have created a company, 'Africa 50', dedicated to the preparation of projects with the private sector to make them bankable," he said.
