The Annual Report analyses the commitments and disbursement to infrastructure in Africa for 2010 by ICA Members and other sources of finance – also by sectoral and regional distribution.
In 2010 total external commitments have again increased significantly to about USD 55.9 billion compared to USD 38.4 billion in 2009. Commitments from ICA Members have increased by 44%, other financiers such as China and the Arab Funds have doubled their contributions, and private sector commitments have nearly recovered to pre-crisis levels.
This confirms that investment in infrastructure remains a high priority for African countries and an attractive opportunity for investors.
