USA
The United States and our African partners recognize the importance of infrastructure in expanding trade, spurring economic growth, accessing basic needs, and securing peace and stability.
This is reflected in the priority infrastructure has received in proposals our African partners have made to the Millennium Challenge Corporation and in the role of infrastructure in the new African Global Competitiveness Initiative (AGCI).
Infrastructure also plays a significant role in the technical assistance and project planning efforts of the U.S. Trade and Development Agency as well as in the wide range of financing and capacity building efforts of the U.S. Agency for International Development.
